I got myself an XM Radio for a late Christmas gift. To quote Uncle Eddie when speaking of the Jelly of the Month Club (From the movie, Christmas Vacation), "Clark, that's the gift that keeps on giving all year 'round...."
I love XM even more than I thought I would. My favorite channel is The Fox News Channel. I also enjoy being able to listen to Dave Ramsey, since his show isn't on any of the AM/FM Broadcast stations in Chicago. The comedy channels are pretty good, too, although sometimes they're a little more graphic than what I like to listen to. It was kind of a toss-up when deciding whether to get XM or Sirius. Sirius, as of right now, just stopped carrying The Fox News Channel but they have all 3 hours of Dave Ramsey, whereas XM only has him on for one hour.
The unit I got is the SkyFi2. I like it 'cause I can use it in my Jeep or at home, in the boombox, and I only have to pay one subscription fee. Another cool thing is XM allows you to log on and listen to the music channels on-line. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the Car Kit installed because they were able to put the antenna on the dashboard. This means I'll still be able to take the hard top off of my Jeep in the summer. The reception is great, so much so that I'm not really sure why they don't just always mount the antenna on dashboards as opposed to running the cable outside the vehicle and on to the roof.
